The Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has stressed the need for the National University Commission (NUC) to ensure academic excellence in Nigerian Universities to a rivalry globally.
Governor Mutfwang is a proponent of quality education due to his recent advocacy for quality learning during trips to the US and UK. He secured five postgraduate scholarships with Liberty University and is working to establish partnerships with international universities to address the lack of efficiency in academic staff and infrastructure at Plateau State University and other tertiary institutions in the state.
In a visit made to the Acting Executive secretary of the commission, Dr. Chris J. Maiyaki in Abuja, He pledged a full commitment to reshaping Plateau State University Bokkos and fostering international collaboration for effective learning and addressing societal issues threatening the system.
Since the commencement of his tenure as the Governor of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang has addressed the issue of accreditation, salary arrears, and infrastructure deficit, building the foundation for effective learning.
He sought out the partnership and direction of the NUC to further reshape Plateau State University as a leading institution of learning.
Dr. Chris J. Maiyaki applauded Governor Mutfwang’s commitment to transforming the fortunes of the state across all sectors of the economy.
He pledged the NUC’s support to make Plateau State University Bokkos a global hub for learning and contributing to the state and nation’s development.
