President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman as the Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
This was disclosed in a statement signed by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
Saleh, a distinguished scholar with academic credentials from the University of Madinah and Peshawar University in Pakistan, is well-versed in Hajj operations.
His previous role as Chairman of the Kano State Pilgrims Board, where he managed the largest quota of state pilgrims in the country, underscores his extensive experience in this field.
President Tinubu has expressed the expectation that Professor Usman will execute his duties with integrity, transparency, and dedication to the nation.
