President Tinubu Returns To Nigeria From France

President Tinubu arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja early Friday morning, following his departure to France earlier in the week.

His return is timed for a significant event at the State House, where he will preside over the swearing-in of Nigeria’s new Chief Justice (CJN).

This comes after Justice Olukayode Ariwoola retired on August 22, 2024.

The National Judicial Council (NJC) recommended Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the successor during its meeting on August 15.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, confirmed that the swearing-in ceremony will take place on August 23, 2024, at the Council Chambers.
