Petroleum marketers are scheduled to meet with the Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, to discuss the pricing and availability of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol).
The President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria confirmed the meeting in an interview with DAILY POST, stating that it will focus on petrol pump prices and supply to oil marketers. Specific details regarding the agenda have not been disclosed.

When probed further about the meeting’s details, he said, “Until we go there, I will brief you after the meeting.” This comes as Nigerians are currently purchasing fuel at prices ranging from N950 to N1,200 or more across the country.
In related news, it was reported on Monday that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has stepped back from its role as the sole off-taker of Dangote Petrol.
This follows the September launch of petrol distribution by Dangote Refinery, coinciding with an increase in petrol pump prices by NNPCL.
