First Lady Remi Tinubu And NSA Nuhu Ribadu To Lead National Prayer For Nigeria’s Challenges

First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu are set to spearhead a national prayer session aimed at addressing Nigeria’s pressing issues.

This initiative, supported by both Christian and Muslim leaders, seeks divine intervention amid ongoing national crises.

Chief Segun Balogun Afolorunikan, Director General of the National Prayer Forum (NPF), announced the event in Abuja, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective action in overcoming the country’s difficulties. Titled “Seeking the Intervention of God in Nigeria’s Affairs,” the event is designed to inspire strength and solutions for leaders and citizens alike.

Muslim participants will gather at the National Mosque in Abuja for a week, with 313 individuals set to complete 2,191 recitations of the Qur’an. Concurrently, Christian prayers will take place at the National Ecumenical Centre, bringing together representatives from various denominations for focused prayer.

Afolorunikan noted that extensive outreach efforts had been made, consulting key religious and traditional leaders, including the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Sultan of Sokoto.

These national prayer sessions aim to pave the way for Nigeria to enter 2025 with renewed purpose and stability.
