A Federal High Court in Abuja has upheld the validity of the Labour Party’s 2024 national convention, which took place in Nnewi in March.
Justice Emeka Nwite ruled that the convention was constitutional and compliant with Nigerian laws.
The court also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize the National Working Committee led by Barrister Julius Abure, ensuring that the party receives all associated privileges.
This decision is significant for the Labour Party as it solidifies its leadership and structure ahead of the upcoming elections.
