Nigerian Passport Fees To Increase Starting September 1, 2024

The Federal Government has approved a new fee structure for Nigerian Passports, set to take effect on September 1, 2024.

According to Kenneth Udo, Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the increase is aimed at maintaining the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport.

Under the new fee schedule, a 32-page Passport booklet with a 5-year validity will rise from Thirty-five Thousand Naira to Fifty Thousand Naira.

Meanwhile, the 64-page Passport booklet with a 10-year validity will increase from Seventy Thousand Naira to One Hundred Thousand Naira.

Fees for passports issued abroad will remain unchanged.

The Nigeria Immigration Service has apologized for any inconvenience this increase may cause and reaffirms its commitment to transparency and quality service.
