The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) is currently searching for reputable and highly capable operations and maintenance (O&M) companies to handle the operation and maintenance of two significant refineries within the country: the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) and the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC).
In a statement released through its official X handle on Friday, NNPC Limited clarified that this endeavor forms a crucial part of its overall strategy to ensure the dependability and long-term viability of these refineries. The successful operation of these facilities is vital for meeting Nigeria’s fuel supply needs and ensuring energy security.
According to the statement, “The O&M tender for WRPC and KRPC will be treated as a single tender through a three stage tender process (expression of interest, EOI, technical and commercial) leveraging on all the possible opportunity costs associated with procurement of consumables, personnel/manpower management, utilisation of computerised maintenance management software (CMMS), warehousing management system (WMS) etc.”
The NNPC Limited also provided a comprehensive outline of the services covered under the O&M contract.
These services encompass long-term and short-term production and operations planning, execution and optimization, maintenance planning and execution, reliability and inspection, process and controls engineering, quality control and assurance, health and safety management, environmental management, turnaround maintenance planning and execution, minor projects, and subcontractor management.
Additionally, the scope of the contract includes inventory and warehouse management.

Once the mandatory details are submitted, interested parties will receive notification of their registration in the NNPC Limited/NipeX tender process portal, which will enable them to proceed with their formal submissions.
It is important to note that all bid submissions should be clearly titled as “EOI for the provision of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for NNPC Limited Refining: Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) and Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC).”
