Plateau State Governor To Partner NGOs In Plateau State

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has revealed his administration’s preparedness to partner with International Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), to address humanitarian crises caused by the violent attacks on innocent communities in the state.
Governor Mutfwang made this known at a dinner hosted by the Forum of International NGOs on Wednesday in Abuja.
He thanked the forum for their huge support towards the betterment of victims affected by violence in the state.
While highlighting the current challenges faced by the victims, Mutfwang added that the current situation has forced victims out of their places of comfort and seek intervention from individuals and philanthropists for survival.
Governor Mutfwang assured the NGO, of the readiness of his administration to work with them in addressing the needs of victims affected by crises.
In a bid to come to a partnership with the NGOs in easing the burden and hardship faced by victims in the state, Mutfwang added that his Government has put in place the right framework for reputable partners to come to the state to invest and make contributions in addressing the needs of the people.
Mutfwang expressed hope in Nigeria overcoming it’s current security challenge and making a comeback to it’s rightful place. He made remark of Plateau State standing out as the most peaceful state in Northern Nigeria admist challenges faced.
Governor Mutfwang said his administration remains focused on strengthening healthy relationships, making agriculture rise again, improving health care delivery, Education as well as paying attention to the transportation sector to reduce the hardship faced by citizens.
He assured transparency, accountability and inclusive government of his administration in building trust and confidence in partners to invest in the state.
He also added that the sole aim of his administration is to create an atmosphere conducive for business transaction for all citizens, regardless of ethnic and religious divides.
Manji Wilson, Chief Technical Adviser on Development Partnership and Diaspora Engagements to the Governor highlighted the potentials of the state and made good remarks about Plateau State.
In willingness of the international Non Governmental Organization to partner with the Governor in intervening to the needs of the people,Thomas Hill, Country Director Norwegain Rufugee Council made appeals to Governor Mutfwang in ensuring adequate funding for plateau state.
Numerous Country Directors of NGOs also aligned with the visions of Mutfwang’s administration in building a peaceful, united and prosperous State.
