The President’s message, delivered on Christmas Day, underscores the importance of faith, hope, and community, while acknowledging the challenges the nation has faced in recent times.

“Christmas embodies the fulfillment of divine prophecy and symbolizes the triumph of love, peace, and unity,” President Tinubu said in his message.

He highlighted the belief that light can emerge even in the darkest times, offering solace and hope to all people, regardless of their faith.

The President also expressed deep sorrow over the recent tragedies in Ibadan, Okija, and Abuja, extending his condolences to the victims and their families.

He condemned the loss of innocent lives and prayed for the healing and recovery of those affected by these unfortunate events.

“We earnestly pray that such misfortunes do not revisit our families and communities,” he added.

Acknowledging the challenges faced by many Nigerians this year, including those impacted by floods, fires, and accidents, Tinubu called for unity and compassion.

He urged Nigerians to be mindful of the difficulties faced by others, whether they are neighbors, family members, or strangers in places of worship, markets, and workplaces.

“Kindness transcends financial status,” he emphasized.

In his message, President Tinubu also honored Nigeria’s armed forces, praising their sacrifices in safeguarding the nation’s security.

He called on Nigerians to offer their prayers and unwavering support to the troops, whose efforts are crucial to the nation’s peace and stability.

The President expressed confidence in Nigeria’s path to restoration and progress, assuring citizens that the country is on a promising trajectory toward a brighter future.

“In the spirit of this season, let us renew our hope and belief in a prosperous Nigeria,” he said.

In a gesture aimed at easing travel during the holiday season, President Tinubu announced that the government has taken steps to ensure safe and convenient transportation for Nigerians.

He mentioned the provision of free train services and subsidized road transport costs on 144 routes across the country.

Concluding his message, the President wished all Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, urging them to stay united and committed to the collective goal of a better Nigeria.
