President Bola Tinubu officially sworn in seven newly appointed ministers during a ceremony at the council chamber of the State House in Abuja.
The new ministers include Nentawe Yilwatda, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Minister of Labour and Employment, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Minister of Livestock Development, Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Trade and Investment, Suwaiba Said Ahmad, Minister of State for Education.
The appointments follow President Tinubu’s decision on October 25 to sack five ministers and reassign ten others to new portfolios.
The Senate confirmed the nominations on Wednesday, with Senate President Godswill Akpabio praising the quality of the selections, stating, “I think Mr. President took his time in selecting these ministers.”
