On Thursday, protesters defied a court order that had restricted their demonstrations against the government.
Justice Sylvanus Oriji of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja had issued the restriction on Wednesday, confining the August 1 protest to the MKO Abiola Stadium.
This ruling came in response to an ex-parte application filed by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Despite the order, the protesters, organized by the ‘Take It Back Movement,’ were observed marching towards Eagle Square.
