Vice President Kashim Shettima has landed in New York City to represent Nigeria at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
He arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in the early hours of Monday, where he was welcomed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, and Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) Kashifu Inuwa, along with Nigerian diplomats and UN officials.
As instructed by President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Shettima will lead Nigeria’s delegation, delivering the nation’s statement and participating in various high-level meetings throughout the assembly.
