The Makurdi Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said that it has arrested 7 suspected internet fraudsters on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
The anti-graft agency disclosed this via their X handle on Thursday.
According to the EFCC, the suspects were arrested in their hideout in Aliade in the Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.
The post revealed that the items recovered from them include 8 phones, 3 iPads, 2 internet routers, and one international passport.
Other details about the suspects and how they were arrested were not revealed in the post but the agency stated that the suspects would be charged to court once investigations were concluded.
