Breaking: Private Jet Carrying 10 Passengers Overshoots Runway In Ibadan

A private jet which was carrying about 10 persons onboard has crash-landed at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The crash which according to a source occurred around 11:00 am was as a result of the plane overshooting the runway.

Firefighters and rescue officials from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, were immediately deployed to the scene.

Two months ago a similar incident which occurred at the same location was reported on the national dailies.

The jet with registration number, N580KR, missed the runway and ran into a nearby bush.

“It was a private plane from Abuja. It landed safely but overshot the runway. There was no casualty,” a spokesperson for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, Carol Adekotujo, told Channels.
