Tinubu To Co-Chair 11th Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission In Cape Town

President Bola Tinubu will depart Paris on Monday for Cape Town, South Africa, to co-chair the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) with President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Tinubu will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including governors, ministers, and senior officials.

The BNC session, scheduled for Tuesday, will follow a ministerial meeting on December 2 at the South African Parliament.

The two leaders will discuss a broad range of bilateral, regional, and international issues, building on their previous talks in June 2023.

Deliberations will span eight key areas, including political consultations, defense, trade, and energy.

The meeting will also see the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements.

Established in 1999, the BNC marks its 25th anniversary this year, underscoring the enduring partnership between the two nations.

Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja after the meeting concludes.
